“A Doctor Went to His Own Employer for a COVID-19 Antibody Test. It Cost $10,984.”

“Physicians Premier ER charged Dr. Zachary Sussman’s insurance $10,984 for his COVID-19 antibody test even though Sussman worked for the chain and knows the testing materials only cost about $8. Even more surprising: The insurer paid in full.” by Marshall Allen

July 2, 2014 Cancer Update! Now, Just Waiting On My Surgery ...

Well, blood work completed!  Also, received a little more good news; assuming that the surgery go well, etc. ... and, that is that I will be able to go home the same day (of course, I'm supposed to go straight to bed).  Previously, I was told that I had to remain at the hospital for, at least, one night.  Then, a nurse would be coming to my house, every day, to check my vitals, change my dressing, etc.  I figure that it is, really, because the Insurance Company informed them that they prefer to not pay for an overnight, or more, stay in the hospital.  They, really, want to treat us like we are stupid, and, don't know the real reasoning behind their decisions.  But, as long as my release is a safe decision, for me; I rather be home, anyway; than in a cold, noisy hospital!
