"Every year, charities all over the world help to save and improve people’s lives, fighting disease, protecting children, and giving hope to many thousands of people. To honor the important work that these many charities do, in 2012 the United Nations decided to nominate an annual International Day of Charity as an official day of recognition and celebration. The reason the date was chosen is because it is the anniversary of the death of Mother Teresa of Calcutta. This choice commemorates the tireless work that Mother Teresa did by devoting her whole life to charity work. To celebrate this special day every year, the work of different charities all over the word is publicized and celebrated, and people are encouraged to donate money and time, to carry out charitable works, and also to educate people and raise awareness about the many charitable issues worldwide. Education and giving are the essence of this special day." ^sPm - #sharpharmade From 'Days of the Year'. #fit #charity #volunteer #motherteresa #give #giving #wp #fb #blog #tweet #twitter #buffer #ig #insta #tagsforlike #pop #hope #recognition #calcutta #celebrate #shar #share #educate #linkinbio #lpt #good #dogooders . @instagram @sharpharmade

"Although we are all fond of piling toppings onto our favorite pizzas, the humble cheese pizza is celebrated with Cheese Pizza Day. It is estimated that there are more than 70,000 pizzerias across the United States, demonstrating how pizza has been adopted into the national psyche. Bizarrely, pizza – especially a basic cheese pizza – was regarded by its Italian inventors as a food for the lower classes who could not afford the luxury of meats. The ingredients are cheap, requiring just flour, yeast and water to make a basic dough, with toppings often being picked from local trees and made from local milk. Whether you’re a fan of a deep dish from Chicago, or prefer the more authentic Italian thin base pizza, now you have an excuse to indulge! If you really want to spoil yourself, head down to Pizza Luis XIII restaurant in Salerno, Italy, where the world’s most expensive pizza has been created – costing $12,0000" ^sPm - #sharpharmade From 'Days of the Year'. #fit #pizza #cheese #cheesepizza #cheesepizzaday #linkinbio #lpt #celebrate #wp #fb #blog #tweet #twitter #buffer #follow #like #tagsforlike #Italian #eat #tasty #food #foodporn #treat #pop #snack #good #cheesy #fingerlickinggood . @instagram @sharpharmade

Do you consider letting yourself have one moment of leisure when you’re supposed to be somewhere? What’s wrong with you? You don’t need to be on time everywhere you go, you need to stop and smell the roses once in a while and realize it’s all just one long rush to the grave if you don’t take some time for yourself. This day reminds us that sometimes, it’s okay to let things slide and not quite be on time. There are some people who are just exceptional at putting things off & showing up late, & while normally we consider such behavior to be rude and entirely unacceptable, especially as a habit, this day was established by the Procrastinators’ Club of America to tell us otherwise. Every day of our lives we are taught to follow rules and stick to schedules and not keep anybody waiting. But that’s when some important business connections have been made & formed because someone was late. The stress of sticking exactly to a schedule has been shown to be detrimental to the health and well-being of people, especially when failing to do so causes people stress. Know why it causes stress? Because people are worried about sticking to a schedule and cause themselves to get stressed out if they don’t. Slow down, enjoy the world you live in, and give yourself a break when you might not otherwise. So, take some time for yourself and allow yourself to be late for something. Good news is, since you’re planning it, you can make sure it’s not going to be something truly detrimental. Enjoying a conversation with someone at the bus stop and your bus comes along? Let it go, there’ll be another. Rushing to get to work on time? Slow down, drive safe, enjoy your morning commute and don’t let it stress you out. This day is all about taking it easy." ^sPm - #sharpharmade From 'Days of the Year'. #fix #belate #late #belateforsomethingday #wp #fb #blog #tweet #twitter #buffer #linkinbio #lpt #follow #like #ig #insta #pop #awesome #tagsforlike #need #want #unwind . @instagram @sharpharmade

Follow me on Instagram at sharpharmade! . Sunday September 4, 2016 is Wildlife Day. "Every year we lose numerous species to the growth and expansion of human holdings, but through the effort of zoos, sanctuaries, and preservation organizations that rate is being slowed. Wildlife Day reminds us that there are creatures out there that cannot speak for themselves, so we have to stand up and be a voice for them. The animals will thank you for it, as will the generations to come who will still be able to enjoy them! . In September of 2006, the world suffered a terrible loss. Steve Irwin, known colloquially as “The Crocodile Hunter”, died in an encounter with a sting ray that went horribly awry. Steve Irwin was an expert on animals, and spent much of his career working to bring attention to endangered species and aid conservation. In his honor National Wildlife Day reminds us that the animals of the world are a precious resource, and of the many zoos, sanctuaries, conservatories, and organizations that work together every year to help preserve them for future generations. If we don’t start taking care of them now, we’re going to lose them. Once an animal has gone extinct, they’re lost forever to future generations, it’s our responsibility not to let that happen. Thankfully there are plenty of options to help support endangered animals, and Wildlife Day is a great opportunity to get out and do it! Almost every community has animal sanctuaries and zoos nearby, so take a trip with you, your family, and friends out to enjoy their exhibits. While you’re there see what you can do to donate time and/or money, or even just spread the word about drives they’re doing. You can even contact them ahead of time and work to help them organize an event, you can even go to the local library to hand out fliers to spread awareness!" ^sPm - #sharpharmade From 'Days of the Year'. #fit #wildlife #steveirwin #honor #celebrate #wildlifeday #wp #fb #blog #tweet #twitter #shar #share #tagsforlike #follow #like #ig #insta #linkinbio #lpt #animal #awesome #extinct #save #endangered . @instagram @sharpharmade

Between the parties, costumes and bombardment of trick or treaters, the non-human components of your family can find themselves a little stressed out, which is one of the reasons to spend the days leading up to Hallowe’en comforting and reassuring them. Thank goodness, then, for Pet Rock Day, offering the perfect opportunity to pamper and spoil the special stone in your life. Launched in the 1970s by advertising executive Gary Dahl, the pet rock was an antithesis to those living pets in need of regular care. It did, however, come with a mean “attack” mode. For a mere $3.95 people could adopt their very own rock, supplied on a bed of hay in an well-ventilated box. Like all things, pet rocks are more expensive these days, but you could always catch a wild one for free – just remember that undomesticated rocks may be more difficult to handle…" ^sPm - #sharpharmade From 'Days of the Year'. #fit #petrock #pet #rock #celebrate #wp #fb #blog #tweet #twitter #shar #share #buffer #follow #like #tagsforlike #linkinbio #lpt #ig #insta #petrockday . @instagram @sharpharmade

Follow me on Instagram at sharpharmade! . Sunday September 4, 2016 is Newspaper Carrier Day. "Ever since the invention of the newspaper, there have been newspaper carriers. Those intrepid souls who bring out the latest hot sheet carrying the most recent news have used all sorts of methods to carry out their duties and bring us the best of stories. Whether they were standing on the street corner with a satchel or loading up their trusty Shetland pony with bags full of the daily rag, Newspaper Carrier Day holds them in the highest regard and shares their dedication with the world. Newspaper Carrier Day was created to honor the efforts of the first newsboy hired in the United States by the Museum of the City of New York. It was in 1833 that 10-year-old Blarney Flaherty first picked up his load of papers. It was soon after that his cries of “Paper! Get your paper, here!” were first heard calling out across the streets of the Big Apple. 180 years later this day celebrates those souls who followed in his footsteps. It’s amazing to think about all of the people who were uplifted by this career as young boys ... James Cagney, Albert Einstein, Isaac Asimov and Martin Luther King Jr. And the newest generation of newspaper carriers is no exception. It still serves as one of the first jobs young men and women will hold in many local communities, using their bikes to carry out paper routes. There’s even a Newspaper Carrier Hall of Fame that was created in 1960. The best way to celebrate Newspaper Carrier Day is to thank your newspaper carrier. Whether that’s by bringing them a hot cup of joe to warm their hands & their hearts as they go about their rounds, or slipping them a tip to thank them for their service. Remember that this boys and girls, men and women, have been working through the cold heart of winter and blazing sun of summer to bring you the daily news before you’re up to get ready for work, show them you love them!" ^sPm - #sharpharmade From 'Days of the Year' . #fit #linkinbio #lpt #newspaper #news #carrier #newspapercarrierday #wp #fb #blog #tweet #twitter #share #shar #follow #like #tagsforlike #celebrate #halloffame #honor . @instagram @sharpharmade
