"These days there are more and more people who think that the whole surveillance issue has gone a bit too far. It doesn’t matter where we are or what we’re doing, if we’re outdoors, especially in a city, there is a very high probability that we’re being recorded. Of course, they have helped to make countless cities safer by catching various crimes on video—from theft to vandalism to assault. Still, many can’t help but feel uncomfortable with the fact that almost all of their actions are being monitored, especially those who would not think of committing crimes. Olean, New York was the first city in the United States to install video cameras along its main business street in an effort to fight crime in 1968. A few years later, in 1973, cameras also appeared in Times Square in New York City. In the 1980s video surveillance began to spread across the country, especially in public areas. Businesses that were especially prone to theft, such as banks and stores, also began to install surveillance cameras. Today, surveillance cameras are also used in traffic monitoring, transport safety, control of retail, as well as home and school security. The use of video surveillance in public places became more common after the September 11th Terrorist attacks so as to deter future terrorist attacks. Wave At The Surveillance Cameras Day was created several years ago to help us all take a step back and having a bit of fun with issues that are usually gravely serious. The good they have the potential to do for society as a whole is a strong argument in their favor. On this day, take a moment to have a little bit of fun with the cameras surrounding you and do what little kids do when they see a train: wave! The more people doing it, the cheerier the world will be, if just for a moment! . ^sPm - #sharpharmade Fr 'Days of the Year' . #surveillance #wavetosurvellancecamerasday #follow #like #linkinbio #lpt #wp #fb #blog #camera #celebrate #tweet #twitter #wave #waves #privacyinvasion #protect #insta #ig #pic #photo #oftheday #beautiful #pop . @instagram @sharpharmade

Follow me on Instagram at sharpharmade! . Tuesday August 16, 2016 is Rollercoaster Day. "Rollercoaster Day is celebrated annually on the 16th August. The origins of the celebration are not completely clear, however, the most widely believed explanation for Rollercoaster Day is that the date was chosen to mark the 16th August, 1898, which was when the very first patent for a rollercoaster ride was issued. The date has been marked by fairgrounds and fans of rollercoasters all over the world since the eighties. How Rollercoaster Day Is Celebrated: Many of the biggest amusement parks and fairgrounds across the USA and beyond choose to offer special deals to visitors on the 16th August. These often involve a reduction in ticket prices or the chance to buy one ticket and get another free. Some parks promote the celebration in order to attract more people in on this particular date. For many of the world’s biggest rollercoaster fans, this is a celebration that can not afford to be missed! As such, enthusiasts will take off work in order to make sure they ride a rollercoaster on the 16th August!" . ^sPm - #sharpharmade Fr 'Days of the Year' . #rollercoaster #fans #amusementpark #follow #like #shar #share #celebrate #fun #wp #fb #twitter #tweet #buffer #ig #insta #blog #tagsforlike #ride #awesome #experience #exhilarating #linkinbio #lpt #pic #photo #oftheday #bearyamazing .

Follow me on Instagram at sharpharmade! . Tuesday August 16, 2016 is Airborne Day. "Airborne Day is a chance to pay tribute to the courage and dedication of airborne members of the Armed Forces. The special day has been marked every year since 1997. The date chosen for the occasion was the anniversary of the first official US Army parachute jump in 1940. Forty-eight volunteers, who were all members of the Parachute Test Platoon, carried out a successful jump in Georgia – showing the way forward to hundreds of thousands of paratroopers who later followed in their footsteps. Each year on Airborne Day, a ceremony is held at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, which is the home of the 82nd Airborne Division. There are also services in other parts of the US and paratroopers have marked the occasion in Afghanistan. If there isn’t a service in your area, you can still mark the day by holding a minute’s silence." . ^sPm - #sharpharmade Fr 'Days of the Year'. #airbourne #paratrooper #airbourne2016 #celebrate #follow #wp #fb #tweet #twitter #buffer #blog #shar #tagsforlike #linkinbio #lpt #share #follow4follow #like #heroes #army #fortbragg #ceremony #insta #ig #jump #awesome #pop #oftheday . @instagram @sharpharmade
