Cancer Update June 25, 2014 ... Wow! I might have more good News!

I just saw my Primary doctor, yesterday, June 25, 2014. And, assuming that my surgeon is able to remove the whole tumor; my Primary said that the Oncologist said that I will NOT have to have Chemo, or Radiation! This is, partly, due to my health history, also; and it is his preference to not have to go there, if at all possible. However, I don't know about those pills, that they had told me about, though; I, actually, prefer to take them if they will help prevent a re-occurence. #PRAISEGOD

HOPE Is Still Alive! ... My Cancer Update June 24, 2014!

Well, I guess that you can say I received some good news, today. I had a P.E.T. Scan, on Friday; it was ordered by my Oncologist, who I did not see, yet, for the results. However, I did see my surgeon, today; one of my Doctors, that I had asked them to, also, send the results to. She said that from the notes, that she could make out, that the Cancer did NOT spread; and she set a tentative surgery date, for July 9th ... after she verified from me, exactly, what my wishes are. ‪#‎ForWeWalkByFaithNotBySight‬  :-)  2 Corinthians 5:7

Who loves Sweet Bread????

The other night, trying to distract my thoughts, from my health issue, that I am facing ... I baked! YES!  Sweet Bread ... using the family recipe - made from scratch! This loaf turned out huge; although, I did call myself limiting the amount of yeast, that I used. Oops!  #photos  #pictures  #food  #bread  #baked

And, it is delicious!  I am enjoying a slice, right now - warmed up!  And, BUTTERED!  ♥

I can't share the complete family recipe; however the basic 'Sweet Bread' ingredients are:
Approximately, 5 1/2 Cups of Flour
Approximately, 1 7/8 Cups of Water
1 Egg - Large
Approximately, 1/2 Cup Sugar
Approximately, 3 Tablespoon Non Fat Dry Milk Powder
1/4 Cup Margarine (I substitute Canola Oil - it's healthier)
About 1 teaspoon of Salt
And, about 1 1/4 Tablespoon of Dry Yeast (Ha!  This is what got me in trouble!  Look at the size of my loaf!)

This recipe makes about a 3 pound loaf.  Experiment - try to make the size loaf that you want!  Or, make rolls!  Just ENJOY!  Who doesn't like sweet bread?

I HAVE THE BIG 'C' ... Cancer; AND, Yes, I Am Scared!!!

Hi, to all of my blogger friends, and readers.  I am sorry that I have not blogged any deals, etc., for a while ... that you are used to seeing on my blog.  About the beginning of May (2014), I found a lump, in my right breast.  I, eventually, had a mammogram; and, yes, it was found positive for malignancy.  A biopsy followed, then, a bilateral MRI ... however, yet, to this very day; I am still walking around with this monster inside of me.  WHY?  I, really, feel like these doctors do not care about anything that I am going through; and, trust me, I am going through a lot ... anxiety attacks, chest pressure (and, I have suffered a heart attack, in 2007), and severe emotions (crying, being scared - more like petrified), etc.  If there is anyone reading this that have any advice to give me, that will be of help to me; I welcome it.  I have sought a second opinion, yesterday; however, their rush to schedule me for surgery, this coming Friday, is scaring me off.  They did not ask, nor know anything about my health history, etc.  I have had 4 strokes, a heart attack, and, have been diagnosed with Sarcoidosis, an autoimmune disease, in 2000 ... which, is, now, supposedly, in remission, since December, 2008.  I need to know how chemo and radiation, if needed, will effect me, and my health.  Not any of my doctors shared this information with me.  One oncologist wants me to have a P.E.T. Scan, to make sure that the Cancer is not elsewhere in my body.  This test, really, scares me; although, I welcome it, at the same time ... as it will show if there is anything else wrong in my body.  For those that do not know what a P.E.T. Scan is, it is a machine/program that scans the whole body from the top of the head to the toes (well, really, up to about your knees); but, you get the drift.  This P.E.T. scan is scheduled for this coming Friday; and, I pray that I will have, positive information to share with all of you, afterwards.  Until, then, take care; and I welcome your prayers!
